HP Smart Tank 7005 All-in-One

I have a smart tank printer and when I print photos the back ink rubs off

That is probably the paper issue.

Can you test print on a different photo paper?

I have the same problem with Smart Tank Series 6000.  I'm using Kodak photo paper glossy ( list HP printer compatible on packaging).  I have  HP photo paper ordered,  so I'll see if the black ink still rubs off on it.     Black also rubs off on printable vinyl stickers I use with my Cricut,  currently I put laminate over the printed stickers.    I've never had a problem like this with other printers and I have use HP and other printers in the over the years.    I'll check back after using HP photo paper.   I love the smart tank printer so if HP photo paper does not solve the problem.   I will have to purchase another brand printer to use for photos and printable vinyl.

Crossing my fingers...

Just wanted to update..The HP photo paper worked fine.  So if your photo  (using photo paper) is smearing, make sure to use HP photo paper.

I’ve tried HP photo paper along with 3 other types and the black rubs off all of them. I also have a cricut and need to use photo paper for certain things. I love the smart tank printer but this is a huge problem!

I’ve tried several different photo papers including HP and it happens to all of them

The HP photo paper I used also smudged what type was the paper you used?
