Hi @Jjinx21, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP inkjet printer is not printing blue despite having a full cartridge, try the following troubleshooting steps:

Run a Printhead Cleaning

  • Open HP Smart or HP Printer Assistant on your computer.
  • Locate the Printer Maintenance section.
  • Select Clean Printhead and follow the on-screen instructions.
  • Print a test page to check if blue is printing.

Check Ink Cartridge Installation

  • Open the printer cover and remove the blue (cyan) cartridge.
  • Reinsert it properly and ensure it clicks into place.
  • Restart the printer and try printing again.

Perform a Nozzle Check

  • Print a Printer Diagnostic Report or Print Quality Report from the printer settings.
  • If blue is missing, the cyan ink nozzle may be clogged.

Manually Clean the Printhead

If cleaning via software does not work, try manual cleaning:

  • Turn off the printer and remove the ink cartridges.
  • Gently wipe the printhead with a lint-free cloth dampened with warm distilled water.
  • Let it dry, reinstall the cartridges, and run a test print.

Check for Faulty Cartridge

  • Try a different cyan cartridge to see if the issue is with the ink itself.

6. Align the Printhead

  • Go to Printer Settings > Printer Maintenance > Align Printhead.
  • Follow the prompts and print a test page.

7. Update Printer Firmware

  • Visit HP Support and check if there's a firmware update for your printer model.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
