Have a 4 yr old hp 6978. The printer is working great other than it not printing blue. Tried a new cartridge. Cleaned the printheads. Shut it down. Nothing is working. I like this printer so don’t want to replace it. Hp no longer supports this model. Any other ideas? It’s not copying any blue either.

I understand the printer is not printing in Cyan. I appreciate your efforts in trying to resolve this issue by performing the necessary troubleshooting steps.
If you have tried the steps mentioned in this document - No black ink, wrong colors, other print quality issues, and the issue persists, I'm afraid it could be an issue with the printhead.
The printhead is non-removable on this model printer. If the printer is out of warranty, I suggest you upgrade the printer. You may visit Hp Store to check the available printers.
