CARTRIDGE PROBLEM remove and install

HP Recommended
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

This HP printer has been working fine until suddenly it printed a funny colored, reddish, copy that should have been b/white.

A cartridge error occurred that said to reinstall the cartridge.

There are two cartridges: color and B/White

I removed and replaced both; same error message.

I replaced the B/White cartridge with a new HP cartridge; same error message

I followed HP help and cleaned all contacts; also unplugged the power cord for 60 seconds: same error message


I removed the color cartridge and am now able to print in single-cartridge mode.

I do not have a new color cartridge to install, but hopefully, with a new one, everything will be back to normal.

My test page contained this printed message, "PRAISE THE LORD"

He listens to us all, both large and small prayers.  He really likes the ones with praise for Him.

I appreciate your efforts in trying to resolve this issue by performing the necessary troubleshooting steps.


It seems like the color ink cartridge is defective. It needs to be replaced. Please reach out to the HP Technical Support team in your region regarding the service options for the defective ink cartridge if it is under warranty. 

You may create a case on the website to obtain a case number if required. Kindly watch this video to know how.
