HP ENVY 6455e All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 11

I have the ENVY 6455e printer and I would like to know how to print on both sides (page 1 & 2) without having to handle the paper. My previous printers would print page 1 and automatically retract the page and print page 2. Does this 6455e have that capability? If so, how do I proceed? Thank you.

Hi @Woodman5786,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The HP ENVY 6455e printer does support automatic duplex printing (printing on both sides of the paper). Here’s how you can set it up.

Open the document you want to print on your computer.

Go to the print settings:

  • If you're using Windows, click on "File" and then "Print." Select your HP ENVY 6455e printer from the list and click on "Properties" or "Preferences."
  • If you're using macOS, click on "File" and then "Print." Select your printer, then look for the “Two-Sided” option in the print settings.

Enable duplex printing:

  • In the print settings dialog, look for an option like “Print on both sides” or “Duplex printing.” Check this option.
  • You may need to choose between “Flip on long edge” or “Flip on short edge” depending on how you want the pages to be oriented.

Apply the settings and print: Click “OK” or “Apply” to save your settings, then proceed to print your document. The printer should automatically handle the duplex printing without you having to manually flip the pages.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
