I have received several 910XL Instant Ink cartridges that have expiry dates of 22/05 and 22/06. I scanned their QR codes and found that one of the cyan cartridges has a code that begins with 5X5, which looks like a starter cartridge. All the other cyan cartridges begin with 5WG. Does this mean anything? Does it identify one of the defective cartridges? Should I be using it?

@PenguinColony, Welcome to HP Support Community!
No, the QR code cannot detect defective ink cartridges.
You can use both the ink cartridges and in case if any of them is defective we can help you get them replaced.
I hope that answers your concern adequately. Let me know!
