I signed up for HP Instant Ink but wasn't using ink much at all, so I cancelled after a long while. Now the ink cartridges won't work unless I sign up again for Instant Ink.

I read that this is the policy, but why do I have to sign up again? Isn't that like charging me twice for the same ink?

@DaveBarnes, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Once you cancel the service, you cannot use the Instant Ink cartridges. You will have to use regular HP ink cartridges to print.

If you want to use Instant Ink cartridges, you will have to re-enroll and get a new set of Instant Ink cartridges.

In this service, you are not charged for the ink but for the pages you print for that billing cycle. So the Instant ink cartridges you have is a property of HP.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
