Officejet pro 6830
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My sister has just given me her Office pro 6830 as she has replaced it with Envy 6032.

I have installed all the drivers etc etc and are happy everything is in, registered and working however.......

The screen tells me that "cartridges cannot be used until printer is enrolled in HP instant ink".

Sister was enrolled for this but I do not want to subscribe at this moment. She has given me the 3 colour cartridges all unopened and unused.so to replace all of them I would only need to buy a black cartridge in order to see if this is a worthwhile replacement for my printer and if not to sell it on for her.

Am I correct that if I replace all the cartridges with new ones that the printer will then work and that by not enrolling in the instant print service I can transfer the ownership of it to someone else who can then choose if they wish to enrol and by doing so lock the printer to their account?

Forgot to mention that Sister is 70 mile away from me so popping back to her place is not an option at the moment.

Any help appreciated as at the moment I might as well bin what is a perfectly usable printer that has in the past had very little use.
