Hi @BBPrice,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

This error generally indicates an issue with one or more of your printer cartridges. Here’s how you can troubleshoot it.

  • Check Cartridge Installation: Make sure the cartridges are properly installed. Open the cartridge access door and ensure each cartridge is securely in place.
  • Inspect Cartridges: Remove each cartridge and check for any protective tape or packaging that may not have been removed. Also, look for any visible damage or leaks.
  • Clean Contacts: Gently clean the electrical contacts on both the cartridge and the printer using a soft, lint-free cloth. Be careful not to touch the nozzles or get them wet.
  • Reset the Printer: Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait about 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.
  • Update Printer Firmware: Check for any firmware updates for your printer on the HP support website.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
