Cartridge Problem

HP Envy Photo Printer 7134

Trying to print and the printer is saying that it has a cartridge problem with the black cartridge. I have followed all the instructions to update firmware and clean the contacts etc, but it is still showing the same message. I have tried to contact HP, but as it is out of warranty, I seem to be going round in circles. I have a spare tri- colour cartridge as that is due for changing, however I do not have a spare black one to try. Any advice?! Thanks

Is this a new black ink cartridge?

 

Perform the steps mentioned in this document - HP Printer Does not Print and Error Indicates Faulty Ink Cartridge

 

If the error persists, please reach out to the HP Technical Support team in your region regarding the replacement/service options.

You may create a case on the website to obtain a case number if required. Kindly watch this video to know how.

The cartridge has been in for a while probably abput 50% full. It was working in the morning, but then stopped.
