Cartridge Problem

HP Recommended
Envy 5000 series
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I haven't used my Envy 2000 for a few weeks. I turned it on today and had a "Cartridge Problem" message. I have followed all the instructions, used the Print & Scan Doctor; and even though there was ink left, replaced with a brand new cartridge, all to no avail. Can anyone offer any advice? Thanks.

If you have already performed the steps from the document HP Printer Does not Print and Error Indicates Faulty Ink Cartridge and the issue persists, it could be a hardware failure.

 

Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.

Yes, I did follow those instructions. In the end, I replaced both cartridges one of which was three quarters full; this solved the problem.
