HP Envy Photo 7155 - While I was printing it stopped printing and it tells me that the cartridge is not communicating correctly with the printer
I put a new cartridge in and got the same issue. I have unplugged the printer. Rebooted the printer and updated the printer. Nothing has helped.

Hi @Yoyo39,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It seems like you've already taken some troubleshooting steps. In cases where a new cartridge also doesn't resolve the issue, here are a few additional steps you can try.
- Check Cartridge Installation: Ensure that the new cartridge is properly installed. Sometimes, a cartridge might not be inserted correctly. Remove it and reinsert it making sure it clicks securely into place.
- Clean Cartridge Contacts: The cartridge and printer have metal contacts that can accumulate dust or ink. Gently clean the contacts on both the cartridge and the printer using a lint-free cloth or cotton swab.
- Update Printer Firmware: Make sure your printer has the latest firmware installed. HP often release updates to address compatibility issues. Check the HP support website for your printer model and follow the instructions to update the firmware.
- Check for Software Conflicts: Ensure that there are no conflicting software or driver issues. Uninstall and reinstall the printer software and drivers. Make sure you download them from the official HP website.
- Perform a Hard Reset: Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, and wait for a few minutes. Plug it back in, turn it on, and check if the issue persists.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
