Hi @HOLLY969802,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you are facing an issue with the ink cartridge carriage in your HP OfficeJet Pro 9015e is stuck and won’t move to the left, follow these troubleshooting steps:
Step 1: Check for Obstructions
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Open the cartridge access door and check if there is any paper jam, debris, or obstruction blocking the carriage.
- If you see any blockage, gently remove it using tweezers or your hands.
Step 2: Manually Move the Cartridge
- With the printer unplugged, try moving the carriage manually.
- If it resists, do not force it—this could damage the mechanism.
- If the carriage is stuck on the right, look for a latch near the printhead and gently press it to see if it releases.
Step 3: Perform a Hard Reset
- Close the printer’s lid and plug it back in.
- Press and hold the Power button for 10 seconds.
- Wait for the printer to restart and see if the issue is resolved.
Step 4: Check for a Carriage Jam Message
- If the printer displays a Carriage Jam error, follow the on-screen instructions or try running the HP Print and Scan Doctor tool (available on HP’s website).
Step 5: Reinstall Ink Cartridges
- Open the cartridge door and check if the cartridges are properly seated.
- If possible, remove the cartridges and reinsert them securely.

I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
