Please read this post then provide some details.  What printer model? What cartridge number?  Is the cartridge an HP or third party?

 

One thing to check - make sure you are turning the printer off from its own switch.  If the printer is turned off with an external switch (like an outlet or power strip switch) the printheads may not be properly parked and this will cause the printhead to dry out.
