Hi @Larry2424,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If the "Remove and check color cartridge" error persists on your HP OfficeJet 7310, even after replacing the cartridge, try these steps.
- Turn Off and On: Power off the printer, wait a few minutes, then power it back on. Sometimes, a simple reboot can clear errors.
- Reinstall Cartridges: Remove the cartridges and reinstall them carefully. Ensure they are securely seated and locked into place.
- Clean Contacts: Check the cartridge contacts and the printer contacts for any debris or ink build-up. Gently clean them with a soft, dry cloth.
- Check Cartridge Compatibility: Ensure that the cartridges are genuine HP 63XL and compatible with your printer model.
- Reset Printer: Perform a reset by unplugging the printer from the power source, waiting 60 seconds, and then plugging it back in.
- Update Firmware: Make sure the printer’s firmware is up-to-date. You can check for updates through the HP Support website or the HP Smart app.
- Run Diagnostics: Use the printer’s built-in diagnostic tools to identify any issues. This can often be accessed from the printer's menu.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
