I just purchased this printer and the color cartridge that came with it ran out quickly, no big deal. I bought more ink and replaced it. This one ran out after just 16 pages! Is there something I can do?

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

The cartridges that come with the Printer are called setup cartridges and are  meant to set the printer up. They are not the regular inks.

It also depends on the quality of print and the content of the print.

Yours might be doing the same thing as my Deskjet 2724 is doing. It defaults to 'HP Glossy Brochure or Professional Paper' so prints slowly at a quality that consumes lots of ink. I've got 64 bit Windows 10 on my laptop as well. It strikes me that there's a bug in the 'HP Smart' app that nobody has fixed.
