After wasting several hours trying to actually speak with a human being, I have discovered that my 3 year old HP ENVY printer is out of warranty and I have no recourse from a service standpoint other that the throw it away and purchase another printer. The printer no longer prints colors correctly even after several attempts at printhead cleaning, alignment and cartridge replacement. Here are my take home messages from this experience:

-It is extremely frustrating to navigate the HP customer service maze.

-It is obvious that HP has no interest in supporting existing customers or providing a satisfying customer support experience.

-If your equipment goes out of warranty and then malfunctions, you have a large piece of garbage to dispose of. Not much environmental impact there....

-In the future, I will not be purchasing a HP product.
