Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My Envy 5546 printer has been good for me for a long time. Recently messages tell me the 62 Colour cartridge needs to be insrted cirrectly. It already is, just as it has been . It does not follow a cartridge change. Reposition, click Ok and the same thing happens. I never use anything ither than HP cartridges  and pay the monthly sub to be sure. Can a cartridge go wrong after a time? Any tips or suggestions would be appreciated.

 

If I do have to change, what is the current model closest to the 5546, and what hyappens to the crtridges. Can they go into a current printer or does HP sort out a refund/exchange?

Let's try to reset the Printer here:

 

Reset the product

  • With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  • Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  • Wait at least 60 seconds.
  • Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
  • Reconnect the power cord to the printer.
  • Turn the printer on. HP recommends plugging the printer directly into a wall outlet.

Also, try connecting the Printer to a different wall outlet directly.
