My cyan ink stopped working.  Purchased a new cartridge and still no cyan ink.  Did some research online regarding unclogging the ink and have had no luck.  While at Staples, they indicated that the 902 cartridges have been recalled, about two weeks ago.  I went to Target to purchase the cyan.  I read in the HP customer chat that someone else had same problem and Staples told them HP was having a problem with the cyan and yellow cartridges and they were all recalled, to remove the cartridge from the printer as it may damage the printer.  Interesting to note that while I am wasting ink testing to see if the cyan is unclogged, every time I reinstall the cyan cartridge and test, the ink level indicator says that me level has gone down in the cartridge yet no cyan ink has printed.  The new cartridge I installed indicates it is almost empty and it has not printed any cyan ink at all.  What a scam!!!! Not to mention all the other color inks that I have used printing up status reports.  Waste of ink and paper.  Can anyone help?

@Mims61, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Apologies for the inconvenience. Yes, there is an issue with the new lot of ink cartridges. If the Cartridge was manufactured in Malaysia and Warranty End Date is between April 1st, 2022 and September 18th, 2022, please do not use this ink cartridge.

Reach out to the HP Technical Support team in your region regarding the replacement options for the ink cartridge.

You may create a case on the website to obtain a case number if required. Kindly watch this video to know how.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

I do have a case number and I did speak with a representative.  Apparently I the cyan cartridge that damaged my printer did not "fall into" the date range of what is specified as bad cartridges.  So basically, I am stuck with a damaged printer that will not print cyan ink.  The phone call I made to tech support turned into a sales pitch to purchase a new printer because it would not be cost effective to have the printer repaired.  I am very disappointed in HP and the manner in which this is being handled.  I have always been an HP advocate and have had various laptops and printers throughout the years.  I will not be purchasing another HP product as I feel HP has not stepped up to the plate to make this right.  I have purchased 2 cyan cartridges thinking my cartridge was the problem.  When I went to Staples, that is when I was told of the recall of the defective cartridges and the fact that they could damage the printer.  HP could have contacted all the registered consumers to advise of the issue and they did not. So instead, I now have a damaged printer that does not print in cyan.  Very unhappy at this point with HP.
