Cyan won't work - I have replace it with HP ink

I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM I CHECKED INFO: ON THE PRINTER MENU INFORMATION SAYS NO SERIAL NUMBER I THINK THE CARTRIDGE MAY BE BAD EVEN THOUGHT THE CARTRIDGE IS FULL ANYONE SEEN THIS AS CAUSE OF DAMAGE CARTRIDGE PROBLEM?

HP Officejet 8725 printer.

error message:  "one or more cartridges are missing or damaged".  

It's the Cyan cartridge.  I have tried 3 new HP cartridges from Staples.

I cleaned the contacts and tried turning it off and on several different times, including unplugging from the wall.

Nothing as worked.  HELP.    normanwright@sbcglobal.net

I managed to enter and get a case number. The number I called to speak to someone was [content removed]. They ordered me a new Cyan ink cartridge. HOPEFULLY this solves my problem! Fingers crossed! BE AWARE though, they might charge you a fee if you are out of warranty! The lady I spoke to on the phone said it would've been $19.99 but since I have been a loyal customer, the fee was waived. 😕
