This is a pretty old printer and due to its age, the support options are limited. Kindly perform the steps mentioned in this document to resolve this issue - Faded or Dull Colors in Printouts
If the issue persists, and if the printer is out of warranty, I suggest you upgrade the printer. You may visit Hp Store to check the available printers.
