Defective Toner Cartridges - I can not get my new case of toner cartridges to engage for printing.

I just purchased a case of toner cartridges (218 Series) for our HP Laserjet MFP 3301cdw printer.  I could not get anything to print with the new cartridges installed.  I put the older ones back in.  The message keeps popping up that these cartridges are low on ink.  I need the unusable cartridges replaced please.  They are expensive and we can't afford to pay this twice.  Also, do you want the defective ones back?  Please advise as to best method to solve this problem.  My email address is (removed)

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

Restart the Printer

1. Turn off the printer.

2. Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer.

3. Remove the cartridges.

4. Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds.

5. Plug the power cord back in.

6. Wai for few minutes and then insert the cartridges (let printer prompt for cartridges)

7. Turn on the printer

Run HP Print and Scan Doctor (Windows only):

• Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor tool. Follow the prompts to diagnose and fix common printing issues.

Update Printer Firmware (Update the firmware on an HP printer | HP® Support)

• Go to the HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads page. Enter your printer model number and search for the latest firmware update. Follow the instructions to download and install the firmware update.
