I have tried to print a greeting card from my Mac Monterey, first in Google Drive (Docs and Slides), then in the Mac production programs (Keynote and Pages). At first I thought that text boxes and images were jumbled together, images hiding the text. Now, I believe the HP printer has trouble printing black text. The ink supply is adequate. I put the product through Alignment and Cleaning a couple of times. Not seeing much dark ink, luckily I had saved a previously printed Alignment Page, which I put on the glass. A copy of that shows that it tries to copy black, but doesn't come out dark enough. However, a demo page from HP Smart Print just came out fine, the only thing that did. Nothing I designed printed out correctly. Can anybody explain why this is happening, why the demo page prints but not my greeting card? I usually don't have much luck on this forum, but have nothing to lose.
On my Windows 10 I tested this printer since both computers are on my network. Black text comes out grey. A flier printed out OK. However, the HP printer diagnostics show no dark black. The printer alignment function is a joke. What if you cannot print an alignment page?
