I am in the InstaInk so they're genuine HP cartridges and despite them all being full, the color isn't printing at all. I run the clean printheads and the paper that it prints out doesn't show any blue at all. When the color started not printing I would try clicking on print black and gray scale and it gives me black and like a faded orangish color - even when I tried to copy a license. I'm so frustrated because I spend this money on these cartridges and all of a sudden it just stops printing. HELP!

Hi @KM1120
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand how frustrating it can be when your printer isn't functioning properly, especially after investing in genuine HP cartridges through Instant Ink. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can take to address the printing issues:
1. Check Cartridge Installation:
- Remove the cartridges and inspect them for any damage or obstructions.
- Reinsert them, ensuring they click securely into place.
2. Printhead Cleaning:
- Even though you've run the clean printheads cycle, try doing it again through the HP Smart app. Sometimes multiple cleanings are needed to clear blockages.
- You can also try the Deep Cleaning option if available.
3. Print Quality Diagnostic Report:
- Print a diagnostic page to check the status of the printheads:
- Go to the HP Smart app, select your printer, and look for the option to print a diagnostic or test page.
- This report will help identify which colors are not printing correctly.
4. Check for Firmware Updates:
- Make sure your printer’s firmware is up to date. Check the HP Smart app or HP's website for any available updates.
5. Manually Clean the Printhead:
- If automated cleaning isn’t effective, you can manually clean the printhead:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it.
- Remove the cartridges and gently take out the printhead (follow the manual for instructions).
- Use a lint-free cloth or paper towel moistened with distilled water to clean the nozzles on the printhead.
- Allow it to dry completely before reinserting it.
6. Check for Air Bubbles:
- Sometimes air bubbles can prevent ink from flowing properly. You can try to gently squeeze the ink cartridges to release any trapped air (make sure to do this carefully to avoid spills).
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
