I am echoing an archived question fromn 2015

I need to transfer images from the digital prints made on inkjet printer? (I have printer: HP OfficeJet Pro 8715)

According to my research - often inkjet inks are water soluable, and in  a presence of water images will inprint, or transfer  onto soft, wet clay surface.  I do not expect the image to be permanent - it is just a guide for carving and applying underglazes to my clay slab.  However, I cannot get this to work with my inkjet.  I have tried various settings thinking the ink might remain wet after printing including printing in Best mode, and printing with Max DPI.

I am using a Costco Multipurpose Copy Paper that does not say Color Lock on the packaging.

Does anybody have any suggestions?

Thank you.

The ink dries very quickly on plain copy paper you can transfer images from plain copy paper. You will need to change the paper to some kind water transfer paper.

Thanks for the reply.  I just tried peeling all the labels off a sheet of Avery labels and printing on the shiny side.  I also set the paper type to gloss.   It transferred perfectly.  So now, I have ordered a ream of  Freezer Paper sheets and hope the shiny side will do the same thing.
