Hi @PaulPaq

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand your frustration. When facing persistent issues with your HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus printer, it's essential to troubleshoot the problem step by step.

Restart the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer.
  • Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer.
  • Wait for about 1-2 minutes.
  • Plug the power cord back into the printer.
  • Turn on the printer and check if the issue persists.

Check for Paper Jams:

  • Ensure there are no paper jams inside the printer. Open all access doors and check carefully.

Check Cartridges:

  • Remove all ink cartridges and make sure they are installed correctly.
  • Clean the contacts on the cartridges and inside the printer with a lint-free cloth.

Update Firmware:

  • Visit the HP official website and check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer model. If yes, download and install them.

Reset the Printer:

  • Perform a reset on the printer by following the instructions in the user manual. This may involve holding down specific buttons or accessing the printer settings menu.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.-
