macOS 11.0 Big Sur

We recently had the fuser kit replaced in our mfp M477 and were told:

"The HP M452/M477 do not properly read the chips in regards to page yields for those color cartridges. The black does function and read properly. The CF411X, 412X and 413X are 5,000 page yield colors and we only recommend using them a maximum of 7,500 pages. What can potentially happen is the drum of the cartridge could wear and if even a tiny particle of metal ends up in the fuser it will destroy it. I would definitely change the cartridge out if you are getting a line or blanking on the paper when printing."

Has anyone else encountered this advice, or can any HP tech comment on this issue and further explain the cause and any action that should be taken? Thanks.

The toner cartridge is designed and manufactured to last approximately on page yields lets's say 5k.

Toner cartridge is a complicated part with a lot of moving parts, if you override it by printing 8k pages it's possible to a piece of the cartridge can break off and make damage to the printer. It's more often that you will have a poor print quality or interior of the printer full of toner dust than breaking a piece off, but it's possible.
