Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To resolve the issue, follow these steps.
- Open the printer's access door. This will give you access to the ink cartridges.
- Wait for the ink cartridge carriage to move to the center of the printer.
- Examine the cartridges and identify the one indicated by the small oval.
- Press the tab or button located on the front of the cartridge to release it. Carefully remove the cartridge from its slot.
- Take a new ink cartridge that matches the indicated color and remove it from its packaging. Make sure to remove the plastic tape or protective cap from the new cartridge.
- Insert the new cartridge into the empty slot and push it until it clicks into place.
- Close the printer's access door.
- The printer will likely perform an alignment or calibration process. Follow any on-screen prompts if necessary.
- Once the alignment process is complete, the printer should recognize the new cartridge and the error message should disappear.
