Hello everyone,
my printer HP LaserJet M110w has stopped working and we cannot manage to print anything. The exclamation mark flashes steadily on the display. The error is as follows: "The printer cannot print a problem has occurred. You will not be able to print until the problem is resolved. Log in to your HP account from the home screen to check the status.”
However, when I log into my account I don't see any error and the system doesn't suggest any action as it doesn’t signal anything wrong with the printer.
The toner is correctly recognized and the status of the cartridge is reported as normal and it’s not a Wifi problem since the status of the printer is reported as being connected.
Can anyone help me solve this problem?

Hi @madd08,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd be happy to help you!
The error message and flashing exclamation mark on your HP LaserJet M110we printer indicate that there is an issue preventing the printer from functioning. Since it directs you to log in to your HP account to check the status, it’s possible that the problem is related to the HP Instant Ink or toner subscription, especially if you recently canceled or changed your subscription. Here are the steps you can take to resolve this issue:
1. Log in to Your HP Account
- Go to the HP Instant Ink login page.
- Log in with your HP account credentials.
- Check for any messages or alerts regarding your printer and subscription status.
2. Check the Printer Connection and Status
- Ensure that your printer is connected to the internet. A stable connection is required to communicate with HP servers and verify account status.
- Restart your printer and router to refresh the network connection.
3. Update Firmware
- Check if there is a firmware update available for your printer. Updating the firmware can resolve various issues.
- You can update the firmware via the HP Smart app or download it from the HP Support website.
4. Replace Instant Ink/Toner Cartridge
- If you are using a subscription toner cartridge, it may have been disabled after canceling the subscription.
- Replace the subscription toner cartridge with a regular, non-subscription toner cartridge.
5. Clear Error Messages
- Perform a printer reset:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Wait for a few minutes before plugging it back in and turning it on.
- Check if the error message has cleared.
6. HP Smart App Diagnostics
- Open the HP Smart app on your computer or mobile device.
- Use the app’s diagnostic tools to check for and resolve issues.
If the above steps do not resolve the issue, contact HP Phone Support for further assistance.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance
