Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

All of my ink cartridges ran out, and I only have a new black cartridge, which I installed.  But now when I try to print, I get an error message saying Depleted Cartridges Must Be Replaced in order to Resume Printing.  So, apparently the printer is not recognizing the new cartridge I installed.

I can go tonight and get some new cartridges, but I am busy at work and need to use my printer.

I would appreciate any/all help you could lend to help me resolve this issue.

Hi @RecruiterDave,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to assist you.

I understand you're experiencing an issue with using your printer as the ink cartridges are empty.

I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused, I'm here to help you today.

Depending on the printer model, if one or more cartridges are low or empty.

Replacing one ink cartridge will not remove the error, all the ink cartridges that are empty needs to be replaced for the printer to work as per design.

Please mark this post as “Accepted Solution” if the issue is resolved and if you feel this reply was helpful click “Yes”.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a great day ahead!
