Note for common printer problems
Customers receiving the"will damage your computer" message along with others like "unable to access cups/tmp" or "'@%' cannot be opened" need to update their version of the macOS. Error message: Remove and reinstall the indicated cartridge, making sure it is correctly installed.

Initially I got the error message that the cartridge was defective or deplete.  I have replaced the Yellow cartridge 2 times (the last one I just purchased yesterday). 

I have removed the cartridge. I have turn the machine off then on,  I have unplugged the machine from the wall...

 

Not sure what to do next.

 

Plz help

Does the error indicate the yellow ink cartridge?

Make sure the plastic tape if any is removed from the new yellow ink cartridge before placing it in the printer.

 

Perform the steps mentioned in this document - HP Printer Does not Print and Error Indicates Faulty Ink Cartridge

 

If the error persists, I'm afraid the printhead has gone bad as you have used 2 yellow ink cartridges. Please reach out to the HP Technical Support team in your region regarding the replacement/service options.

You may create a case on the website to obtain a case number if required. Kindly watch this video to know how.
