Hi @RBSK,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like the rollers may be spinning but not gripping the paper properly to feed it into the printer. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the issue.

  • Inspect the Paper Tray: Make sure the paper is loaded correctly in the paper tray. Ensure that the paper is aligned properly and not bent or curled. Sometimes, misaligned paper can cause feeding problems.
  • Clean the Rollers: Dust and debris can accumulate on the rollers over time, reducing their ability to grip the paper. Use a lint-free cloth lightly moistened with water to clean the rollers. Avoid using alcohol or other solvents as they can damage the rollers.
  • Check for Jammed Paper: Even a small piece of paper or debris can cause feeding issues. Open the printer cover and carefully check for any jammed paper or debris inside the printer. If you find any, gently remove it.
  • Adjust Paper Guides: Make sure the paper guides in the paper tray are adjusted correctly to fit the size of the paper you are using. If the guides are too tight, they can prevent the paper from feeding properly.
  • Reset the Printer: Sometimes, a simple reset can resolve minor issues. Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for a few minutes, then plug it back in and turn it on again.
  • Check for Software Updates: Ensure that your printer drivers and software are up to date. Sometimes, outdated drivers can cause printing issues. Visit the HP website to download and install the latest drivers for your printer model.

By following these steps, you should be able to troubleshoot and hopefully resolve the paper-feeding issue with your HP Deskjet 4615 printer.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
