Got error message when installing HP950 cartridge- not printing

When installing my new HP950 cartridge, I got this error message:  "There is a problem with the printer or ink system.  Turn printer off then back on.  If problem persists, call HP."  The problem persists.  Before contacting, I tried a second new cartridge.  Same problem.  Pulled the plug from the wall, put it back in - no luck.  Checked the printer status on my computer.  No jobs waiting.  Now what?

Hi,

Such an error occur due to a paper path problem, Check for obstructions in the carriage path, reset the printer as described, if those steps do not resolve the problem, I afraid it requires servicing the printer:
