Product: Officejet pro 7740

We bought a printer last june in an office depot, there has been errors, malfunctions, and even errors while printing, we took it to office depot to check the guarantee and they told us to talk with provider for the guarantee, the problem is that we bought it on june and the guarantee says that is expired sonce aprol 15th. Why is that?
