Printer Cartridge Incompatibility due to region lock

I bought an HP DeskJet 3637 while stationed in Iceland at a local retail store there. I relocated to the USA  a couple of months ago and ran out of ink on the black cartridge. The ink cartridge I used while overseas was the 302 series. In this case, I had the 302XL black cartridge requiring replacement. I could not find the 302 here in the USA but was directed to the 63 cartridges for its replacement by the HP website. I bought it at a local retailer near my US address. After placing it in the printer I received a message the cartridge is incompatible. After a little research on the subject, I learned the reason may be because the printer is region locked. Is it possible to reset the region lock for the US in order to use the printer? It is a great printer and works just fine and I would like to continue using it.  The printer is out of warranty at this time. Any help from the community is appreciated.

Hi @smithcf6,

I'd like to help!

The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.

I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.
