Hi this question has been asked before but it seems the answers are handled privately. so I just took most of the body from another question. I know where to go to reset, but it seems it will need a technician to send me a code. I could not go through contact because my serial number is not being recognized.
Product:
HP Advantage 3789
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11 (64-bit)

Hi i m a resident of India, i had purchased a hp deskjet ink Advantage 3789 printer  from UAE. Now i wish to replace the cartridge, the original cartridge supported was 652, now since in india its equivalent is 680.

I suppose it wont work with hp 3789 printer, what shall i  do to make it compatible. Is there any software technician who will reset the region such  that hp680 cartridge is compatible with my printer. Kindly look into this asap.

@Indagator, Welcome to HP Support Community!

We need to perform a regional reset on the printer to resolve this issue.

The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.

I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.

In order to access your private messages, click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Community profile, next to your profile Name or simply click on this link.

Take care and have a good day.

Hey, thank you for your response

Here are the reset codes:

On the set new region window where it says "Enter reset code provided by the support personnel" under each of these boxes:

Box 41 - Box 42 - Box 43 - Box 44 - Box 45

Enter these numbers in each of the above boxes :1059-4399-7233-3992-2212

1. Once you enter the value you will get a 5 digit value below the code you have entered in box 51.

2. If the box 51 value is 54262 then click OK.

3. If it doesn't match then take a picture of the screen and send it to me.

4. Once you click on OK, you should get a message "Device region reset succeeded" restart the device and check if that works.
