HP Smart Tank Plus 550 series PLC-3 on HP-Desktop. The cyan printhead does not dispense ink. I have run the clean head utility several times and nothing improved any other suggestions.

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

 

  • Ensure that the cyan ink tank has enough ink.
  • Turn off the printer, unplug it for 1-2 minutes, then plug it back in and turn it on.
  • Carefully remove the cyan printhead and reinstall it to ensure it is seated properly.
  • Run the utility for a deeper cleaning and repeat it a few times.
  • Perform a Manual Cleaning:
    • Turn off the printer and unplug it.
    • Remove the cyan printhead.
    • Use a lint-free cloth or paper towel dampened with distilled water to gently wipe the printhead’s nozzles.
    • Let it dry, then reinstall it.
  • If the nozzles appear clogged or dried ink is present, use a printhead cleaning solution to carefully clean the nozzles.
  • If the issue persists, the cyan printhead might be damaged and need replacement.
