macOS 10.15 Catalina

HP 6978 printer won't print cyan color. I installed new HP ink cartridges, printed a quality test page, cleaned the printheads, and did printhead alignment. The quality test page did not print cyan, and the scanner would not scan the page to complete alignment. It prints black, magenta and yellow ... but not cyan. I am about ready to give up on it.

Thanks for the info.  I tried the various steps mentioned but nothing is helping; I have cleaned printheads, tried to align but it won't scan the page. I have put new blue ink cartridge in it. I have used only HP ink cartridges. The print quality test report continues to provide no cyan color even after all of these steps and with new cyan HP ink cartridge. So I am at the point of giving up on any fix to this printer ... and purchase a new one. Purchasing more ink cartridges is more expensive than purchasing a new printer. This is the 2nd HP printer that has quit on me. I will try another HP printer, but if quits on me I will definitely look at other printers.
