Hi @JimC55CA,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP OfficeJet 8035e is not printing yellow even though the ink cartridge has sufficient ink, and you've already cleaned the print heads, you can try the following steps to resolve the issue.

Check Cartridge Vent

  • Remove the yellow cartridge and check the vent area (located on top of the cartridge). If it's clogged, gently clean it with a pin or a paper towel.

Perform a Hard Reset

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source. Wait for about 60 seconds, then plug it back in and power it on.

Run a Print Quality Diagnostic Report

  • From the printer's control panel, go to Setup > Reports > Print Quality Report. Check the report for any abnormalities with the yellow ink, which might give insights into the issue.

Check for Firmware Updates

  • Ensure the printer has the latest firmware. You can check for updates via Settings > Printer Maintenance > Update the Printer.

Reinsert or Replace the Cartridge

  • Remove and reinsert the yellow cartridge to make sure it's properly seated. If this doesn't help, consider replacing the yellow cartridge with a new one.

Perform Printer Alignment

  • Go to Settings > Printer Maintenance > Align Printer and follow the steps to align the printer. This sometimes helps with color issues.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
