My HP Color LaserJet MFP M283fdw worked well printing colors for the first 12-18 months. Since then, even after multiple cartridge replacements, nothing has worked to improve color printing. Some blues print fine, but reds, browns, oranges and any other color than very light blue either does not print or prints in a very light/muted color. The cartridge supplies are at 100% for all color cartridges. I have used HP Smart to diagnose and repair, color calibrated, printed multiple test pages, and nothing has worked so far. 

 

Should I just invest in a new printer? The entire reason I purchased this one was because it had good reviews and was supposed to last quite some time. 

 

It seems like color printing is a big issue with this specific Color Laser Jet printer. 

 

For reference, I am trying to print on a MacBook Pro with OS being Sonoma 14.5. I have checked for updates on the printer and installed all updates, restarted the printer several times. I am at my wit's end trying to figure this out. If anyone knows any fixes or has a recommendation for another brand of laser printer that will not break the bank but will print quality color prints, please let me know.
