HP D110 prints sporadic color

HP Recommended

Problem: The color ink prints sporadically. I can print the same picture 3 times and it looks different each time. Sometimes it's just black, sometimes it's black and magenta. Sometimes it's black and magenta with a touch of yellow and cyan.

I replaced the ink cartridges with genuine HP inks.

I have cleaned the print heads, and the test page prints the 6 color blocks beautifully -- following this I can print 2 copies of a color image: the first one prints perfectly; the second one is missing colors again.

I have aligned the printer.

I have printed a quality report and three of the color bars have horizontal streaks. The other three are faint or missing.

Black ink seems to be working correctly.

I am printing wireless.

Making a copy also does not print color.

The printer sat in storage for years and was rarely used prior to that. Any suggestions? It's probably not worth the expense of a repair, which is a shame since the unit is like new.
