HP Deskjet 2510 All-in-one series
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Two days ago, my HP Deskjet 2510 All-in-One Series printer has stopped printing out black ink. The printer itself has only been used for a year. The ink cartridges are 100% authentic and I've received no error message regarding the ink levels. I've cleaned the cartridges and ink holder both with HP Print and Scan Doctor and by hand. I've also didn't spill anything that would cause the printer to malfunction. Please help me solve this issue or get a case number so I can speak to tech support. I've been trying to fix this for two days now and customer service has been very unhelpful.

Ours did the same thing today. NOT HAPPY. Wasting lots of paper and color ink doing diagnostics. Print Dr. says everything is OK. It's not. Please fix this!

If you have already performed the steps from the document Color or Black Ink Not Printing and the issue persists, it could be a hardware failure.

 

Please reach out to HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.

Tried a test and connected the printer to an old Vista-era computer that is not connected to internet. The printer worked fine, black included, but not on our newer computer: Dell with Windows 10. Have any idea why?

I recommend you delete the driver and root level and retry, follow the steps below: 

  

1) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features 

2) Select your HP Printer 

3) Select Uninstall 

4) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers 

5) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose ‘Delete’ or ‘Remove Device’ 

6) Open up the run command with the “Windows key + R” key combo. 

7) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe”

😎 Click on the “Drivers” tab 

9) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom 

10) Select Ok 

11) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows 

12) Close Devices and Printers.

 

Use this link to download and install the new driver. Configure the printer and try printing.
