Hi! I bought a HP Deskjet 2734e All-in-One for my Mom. There are no Setup Cartridges and I get an error saying I cannot complete registration for SmartPrint options.... or printing at all for that matter. Completed a search here in the community and found a link with instructions. Completed the steps and now the printer works, kind of. I still can't register it for SmartPrint functions and also, it doesn't actually print until I return to open the HP page in the app. Mom can't really use it like this. She's 84 and barely uses a cell phone. I need this to work for me remotely and also must be super easy for her. HALP!!

Welcome to the HP support community.


I understand you have a new printer; however, you have not received the setup cartridges and are having trouble finishing the setup. You have the option of either you can check with the store of purchase to get the setup cartridge, or if you have genuine HP ink cartridges with you, we can help bypass the steps using the regular HP ink cartridges. Do reach us via a private message.

Please help us with the Printer serial number or the product number in a private message for further assistance.
