I have had the HP Envy photo printer for a while and it worked fine. It started printing in streaks and slowly got worse. Now it only prints in blue and sometimes pink, but does thick streaks so the paper is unusable. I thought it might be the ink catridges so I replaced those, ran it through cleaning and aligning multiple times and nothing seems to work.

Hi @sam0sam0,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It's unfortunate that you're experiencing printing issues with your HP Envy photo printer. If you've already replaced the ink cartridges, run cleaning and alignment processes multiple times, and the problem persists, there are a few additional steps you can take to troubleshoot and hopefully resolve the issue.

Check for Software Issues:

  • Make sure you have the latest printer drivers installed. Visit the HP website and download the latest drivers for your printer model.
  • Ensure that your printer software settings match the paper type and print quality you're using.

Inspect the Print Heads:

  • Many HP printers have removable print heads. Check your printer's user manual to see if your model allows you to remove and clean the print heads manually.
  • If you can remove the print heads, clean them gently with a lint-free cloth and distilled water. Be careful not to touch the nozzles with your fingers.

Perform a Manual Printhead Cleaning:

  • Your printer may have an option for manual printhead cleaning in the settings. Refer to your printer's manual to see if this is an option and try it.

Check for Clogs:

  • Inspect the ink nozzles for any clogs or dried ink. Some printers have a utility that can clear these clogs.
  • If possible, use a small amount of distilled water and a lint-free cloth to clean the nozzles.

Try Different Paper:

  • Sometimes, the type of paper you're using can affect print quality. Try using a different type or brand of paper to see if the problem persists.

Update Firmware:

  • Check if there's a firmware update available for your printer. Firmware updates can address various issues and improve performance.

Remember to follow the specific instructions provided in your printer's manual for cleaning and maintenance procedures.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
