HP ENVY Photo 7155 All-in-One Printer

Printer is skipping lines about every three inches.  Someone else asked this with no response.  Is the printer broken?   Seems like it.  I've done all the obvious, alignment, cartridge cleaning.

@stellr,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

  • Clogged Printheads – Even after automatic cleaning, there may still be blockages. Try a deep cleaning (if available in your printer settings).
  • Cartridges Running Low or Defective – If you're using refilled or third-party cartridges, try replacing them with genuine HP ink to see if that resolves the issue.
  • Paper Type & Settings Mismatch – Ensure the paper type in the printer settings matches the actual paper being used.
  • Firmware Issues – Check for firmware updates in HP Smart or on the HP Support website.
  • Mechanical Failure – If none of the above helps, the printhead may be worn out or defective, especially if the printer is old. The HP ENVY Photo 7155 has a built-in printhead inside the ink cartridges, so replacing them might resolve it.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
