Print fades as it prints more, to the point of almost nothing. If I wait 5 minutes between each page, it words......OK. I have tried the multi step cleaning process to no avail.

Hi @Chad78,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you're experiencing fading prints with your HP ENVY Photo 7855, there are several potential causes and solutions you can try:

Ink Cartridge Issues:

  • Ensure that the ink cartridges are properly installed and have sufficient ink levels.
  • Check for any clogs or obstructions in the ink cartridges. You may need to clean the cartridge contacts.

Print Head Issues:

  • The print head may be dirty or clogged. Many printers have a built-in cleaning utility that you can use to clean the print head. Refer to your printer's manual for instructions on how to run a print head cleaning cycle.
  • Some printers allow you to manually clean the print head using distilled water or a special cleaning solution. Again, consult your printer's manual for guidance.

Paper Quality:

  • Ensure that you are using the correct type and size of paper for your printer.
  • Low-quality or incompatible paper may affect print quality. Try using a different type or brand of paper to see if the issue persists.

Printer Settings:

  • Check the print settings on your computer to make sure they are configured correctly. Make sure that the print quality settings are appropriate for the document you are printing.
  • Check if the printer has an option for "economy" or "draft" mode, which uses less ink. If this option is selected, try switching to a higher-quality mode.

Firmware/Driver Update:

  • Ensure that your printer firmware and drivers are up-to-date. HP often releases updates to improve performance and address issues.

Temperature and Humidity:

  • Extreme temperatures or humidity levels can affect print quality. Make sure your printer is operating within the recommended environmental conditions.

Replace

  • If you've had the ink cartridges for a long time or suspect they may be running low, consider replacing them with new cartridges

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.-
