My printer does not print in colour. I have just installed new ink cartridges. The test page prints in colour, but never when I try to print from an app, like Microsoft Word. I have checked all printer settings. The printer tells me that it is up to date in terms of software. I have seen this problem reported by many others, but not yet seen a solution. Can anyone help please?

Thanks Sandytechy20. Uninstalling (and ticking to delete) the Windows driver and then re-adding in Windows did the trick. I already had HP Smart installed and didn't need to do any of the other stuff that you mention. So, my recommendation for people with similar issues on Windows 10 would be...

1. Go to Windows Device Manager and select Printers

2. Right-click on your printer device and select Uninstall, and tick the Delete box

3. Restart Windows

4. Go to Windows Printers & scanners, and click on your HP printer, and then re-add (Windows will download the latest driver)

I tried to re-add my printer using HP Smart, but it didn't work. HP Smart couldn't find my printer until I had re-added in Windows.
