HP ENVY 5530 e-All-in-One Printer

My HP Envy 5530 Printer stopped recognizing genuine black ink cartridges. I have tried all of the methods for support from the HP Virtual Assistant. This printer is in great shape and could still work if this issue was resolved - PLEASE HELP! So far I have tried: 

-Resetting printer by unplugging power cord.

-Buying new ink cartridges (I have spent over $150 and I don't want to spend anymore - I literally just bought these all from Walmart! Idk why they aren't being recognized - they are HP Brand and everything. 

-Cleaning the cartridge connector/printer connectors. - twice (after doing this a putting in a new cartridge - it recognized for like 1 minute (message screen said recognized on my printer and computer), before I again received the error message and its again not working. 

-Making sure the drivers are up to date - my computer said none were available??

 

What else can I do? I really can't afford a new printer right now 😞
