It’s frustrating when a new printer refuses to print despite showing no errors. Since your HP Envy 6400 series is connected wirelessly and feeding paper but not printing, here are some steps to troubleshoot:

 

1. Restart Everything

  • Turn off the printer, computer, and router.
  • Wait 60 seconds, then turn them back on.
  • Try printing again.

 

2. Check Printer Status in Windows

  • Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
  • Right-click your HP Envy 6400 and select See what’s printing.
  • If there are stuck print jobs, cancel all documents.

 

3. Run HP Print and Scan Doctor

  • Download HP Print and Scan Doctor from HP’s support page.
  • Run the tool to detect and fix printing issues.

 

4. Reset Printer Network Settings

  • Open the printer’s Embedded Web Server (EWS):
    • Type your printer’s IP address into a web browser.
    • Go to Settings > Restore Defaults > Restore Network Settings.
  • Reconnect the printer to Wi-Fi.
