I have a problem with cartridge usage for my newly purchased HP Envy 6430e. I do not print in colour much, by that I mean, one in 200 pages is printed in colour. But the ink level display still goes down on both the colour and blank ink. I get the Ink Low message on HP Smart, and soon after I get a cartridge or account error message, and printer will only print again after I put a new colour cartridge in. The problem is that the current colour cartridge has not been used, and is most probably 99% full. Tried power off/on, and also resetting back to factory settings, but it still will not let me use the cartridge. Seems to me that HP is forcing me to change the colour cartridge even though I do not use it. Is there a way to reset the printer counters to enable me to use the cartridges to their full capacity, or is this just a badly designed printer, costing me lots of money to print.
